The notifications on iOS mobile kinja doesn't work at all, and also pictures are blank with ikinja. This is the new crap they're rolling out. Haven't they heard of quality control?

Notifications in mobile is a known issue, and will be fixed. How soon, I don't know. Pictures have also been removed from mobile Kinja "to improve performance." They might be returned at a future date, but in the near term, it looks unlikely.
